Professor Gokcin Cinar sat down recently with Zoe Pizzuti and Suriana Lee from the U-M Aerospace student group, Women in Aeronautics and Astronautics to learn more about their activities and goals.
Each fall, WAA hosts a conference celebrating Women in Aerospace, and this year’s conference is in honor of Bessie Coleman, the first Native American and African American woman to get her pilot’s license.
“Bessie Coleman broke barriers. As women in Aerospace, we are still following in her footsteps. The 2022 Women in Aerospace Conference is an amazing opportunity to learn more about her, hear from a diverse and powerful group of panelists and speakers, and gather as a community,” says Zoe.
