Admissions

Students are not admitted directly to the Department of Aerospace Engineering; instead, they apply to the University of Michigan and the College of Engineering.

After students are accepted to U-M and the College of Engineering, they need to declare a major. This typically happens in their second or third semester at Michigan. Students declaring aerospace engineering as their major are assigned a faculty advisor in our department.

Information on undergraduate admission, transferring and international students is available on the website of the College of Engineering Admissions Office, or contact our office, 734-764-3350.
