Department Visit: We encourage prospective graduate students to contact faculty members directly to arrange a visit. If you are unable to schedule a meeting with faculty we can usually schedule an individual tour with a member of staff, schedules permitting.
If a meeting with faculty is arranged, a tour can usually be arranged for the day of the meeting. Please contact the graduate student services coordinator, Ruthie Freeman, to arrange a department tour (when available) and meetings with the graduate coordinator and admissions coordinator, if desired.
Campus Tour: You can also sign-up for a tour of North Campus
March Doctoral Graduate Visit: The Aerospace Engineering department hosts a Graduate Visit, typically in early or mid March, for US-residing, admitted doctoral students.
The purpose of this visit is for admitted students to learn more about the Department, the College of Engineering, and the University, prior to making their decision to attend. The visit generally runs from Thursday evening through Saturday morning. Students’ expenses for the visit are reimbursed, up to certain maximum amounts. More information about this opportunity will be sent individually to admitted doctoral students, together with their offer letters.
August Orientation : The Aerospace Engineering department orientation, as well as, other orientation programs by the International Center, College of Engineering and Rackham Graduate school are before the start of the fall term, in late August.
