Biography

Stephanie Custer joined Aerospace Engineering in 2022 as the Undergraduate Academic Advisor. Her role largely focuses on helping students navigate their academic path to graduation. However, she also aims to motivate students to explore opportunities inside and outside the classroom, poses questions that empower students to come to their own conclusions as they consider their options, and provides resources and referrals to the appropriate entities to ensure students are receiving the support they need.

Stephanie has been at the University of Michigan for five years. She previously served as an Academic Advisor in the College of Literature Science and the Arts, the Coordinator for Campus Information, and the Program Assistant for the Women in Science and Engineering Residence  Program (WISE RP).

Stephanie holds a Master’s degree in Higher Education with a focus on Student Access and Success from the University of Michigan. She also earned a BFA in Art and a BA in Art History from Arizona State University- Tempe.

Outside of work, you can find Stephanie on her farm with her partner, 3 dogs, 3 donkeys, and 2 cats. She is often camping, practicing archery, drawing, or playing board games.
