International Workshop on Detonation for Propulsion 2024

ACCOMMODATION AND TRAVEL

Travel Information

The easiest way to reach Ann Arbor is to fly into the Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW), which is the closest airport to Ann Arbor and the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor campus. The airport have two terminals: Evans Terminal and McNamara Terminal.

Downtown Ann Arbor is about 40 minutes drive from the airport. A number of public transportation solutions connect the airport to Ann Arbor. Many suggested hotels are in the downtown area, very close to the location of the workshop, so once in Ann Arbor, you should not need transportation within Ann Arbor.

The Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority provides a public transportation service to/from DTW from Ann Abor, known as AirRide. AirRide serves the Evans Terminal and McNamara Terminal.

At the Evans Terminal, AirRide pick up and drop off in the Ground Transportation Center.

At the McNamara Terminal, AirRide pick up and drop off on the north end of the Departures Level (Ticketing Level) near Door #1.

In both terminals, please follow signs for Municipal Transportation/Regular Scheduled Bus Service.

More information about the AirRide can be found here: https://www.theride.org/services/airport-service
