Chief Sustainability Officer, Pratt & Whitney
Biography
Graham Webb is chief sustainability officer for Pratt & Whitney, the company that introduced the GTF™ family of engines in 2016 to drive down the environmental impact of the latest generation of commercial airframes. In this role, Webb coordinates the execution of Pratt & Whitney’s sustainable propulsion technology roadmap and strategy, partnering with government, academia, and industry partners, and communicating Pratt & Whitney’s sustainability capabilities and achievements to key constituencies.
Prior to this role, Webb led the Geared Turbofan engine business program for the Airbus A220 and Embraer E-Jet E2 aircraft where he successfully certified the propulsion systems and achieved entry into service and rate production. Prior to this, Webb served as Chief Engineer during the development and certification of Pratt & Whitney’s Geared Turbofan engines.
Webb’s 30-year career in engineering and aerospace has included multiple leadership roles in technology, engineering and general management during which he has successfully led development and production implementation for a wide and diverse range of gas turbine engines that span the power generation, space, and aviation markets.
Webb holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a master’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, and a doctoral degree in Materials Science from Georgia Institute of Technology. He has published numerous technical publications and received a certification for Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute.
